James Messer Sports Complex is a baseball/softball complex with 11 lighted fields, including one Miracle League (turf) Field. The complex includes two officials/operations towers with air conditioning. All fields have operational scoreboards from field level or the official tower, new shade shelters and ample parking. The complex features state of the art 26,000 sq. ft. skate park. It has hosted ASA Southern Nationals 18U A 2013, US Fast Pitch Association Sunshine State Classic 2012, ASA Girls Fast Pitch National Qualifier - Capital City Classic, USSSA Youth Baseball Super NIT, Dizzy Dean Youth Baseball State Championships in 2012 and 2013 and the Super-Moto Motorcycle Race 2013. The Mike Blankenship Skate Park boasts a five foot deep pool with a roll down to nine foot. There are numerous rolled lip areas for skaters of all skill levels. The areas include two above wall extensions, flat banks, raised transitions and other features that challenge skaters of all ages.
